I liked all the different takes on breath work from various "masters". Listened to this driving to Austin and practiced breathing methods along the way. Wow! is all I have to say. The traffic was better, my driving smoother, as I felt almost like I was flying along IH 35 corridor. I do believe in breath work and practice WHM. Will improve ones health, especially hormones for aging yuppies.
Just as one repeats breath pattern at least once for rhythmic satisfaction, I'm now onto a repeat reading of this wonderful book. I've already changed my practices for the powerful better. Awareness has come that when I'm at all challenged or in some worry, I stop breathing. So, now when this awareness happens I breath right into it. As if my first breath! Thank you, Dan Brule.
I teach breathwork for a living.This is more like an encyclopedia of techniques than a meaningful journey into the practice.It was quite dull and redundant after the 1st 30 pages.
Not much about science and the anatomy of breathing but very interesting techniques. Dani Brulé offers an holistic approach of this art. His approach of combining breathing and intention is I think very unique and powerful. A bit too many references to other experts abd techniques. It sometimes feel like a compilation of different breathing schools and arts rather than his own method and experiences.
I love this book, I have told Dan personally how much his book has Inspired me. I also suggest purchasing the Just Breathe Audio book, Dan narrates it himself!!!
